Earlier today, 2018 offensive lineman James Ohonba narrowed his college decision to four schools. The four-star lineman, out of Stockbridge (Ga.) Woodland High, announced on his Twitter account that he will be choosing, in no particular order, between LSU, USC, Alabama and Michigan.
“As the recruiting trail goes on, I’ve decided to focus more on a few schools,” he wrote., adding he still may look at schools outside his initial top-four. “Even though these are my top schools, my recruitment is STILL OPEN to other schools not listed."
In April, he told The Michigan Insider that after he received his initial offer from the Wolverines it sparked an interest to potential go up to Ann Arbor for a visit.
“I was sort of interested in Michigan and now I am,” he said of his Michigan offer at the time. “I’m trying to get more info on them and see what they’re like, education and all that good stuff.”
Adding: “My visit would probably be during my senior season of football,” he said. “I’m looking forward to seeing what the coaching staff is like, hopefully meet a few players, see the facilities, education and the campus in its whole self.”
Ohonba says he plans to announce his top schools before his senior season. As far as a decision timeline, he says most likely will make his commitment known after he takes all five of his official visits.
