Miami grad transfer Sunny Odogwu wraps two-day official visit to Michigan

Michigan hosted a mammoth offensive line grad transfer target this week.

Michigan is apparently looking to bolster its depth on the offensive line by scouring the grad transfer wire.

According to a tweet by Miami offensive line grad transfer Sunny Odogwu, he wrapped up a two-day official visit with the Wolverines on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-8, 325-pound Odogwu announced his intentions to transfer from Miami in late May. He started 14 games at right tackle over three seasons for the Hurricanes.

“Sunny and I had a good conversation, and he informed me that he feels his best opportunity to get the most playing time would be at another school,” Hurricanes head coach Mark Richt said in a statement. “Sunny has been a great teammate and leader for this program, and we will miss him.”

The Michigan Insider's Sam Webb is reporting that Odogwu is on his way to UCLA for an official visit.

According to NCAA transfer rules, Odogwu is eligible to play immediately and will have one year remaining.
