2019 RB Has 'Great' First Meeting W/Harbaugh

Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances 2019 running back Joachim Bangda has "great" time with Jim Harbaugh at Michigan camp.

BOWIE, Md. -- Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances 2019 running back Joachim Bangda was just one of multiple prospects at Michigan's satellite camp held at Bowie State on Saturday.

An opportunity, like most of them, to meet Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh for the first time.

“It was really great meeting him,” Bangda said of Harbaugh. “I’ve never seen him person before. He’s a good person; I like his energy, things like that. And I love the coaching staff, so that’s a good thing.”

Currently, Bandgda holds offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan State and Virginia Tech among others. However, Michigan has yet to extend an offer hi way, and Bangda explains why.

“The coaches want me to go down there and visit, and talk more with coach Harbaugh and have a meeting with him and see how stuff goes,” Bangda said.

And, well, if Michigan were to offer Bangda, he says its would make him think a bit more positive about the Wolverines.

“It would mean a lot,” Bangda said of a potential U-M Offer. “Considering I would have (offers from) Michigan and Michigan State and Ohio State, and they’re kind of rivals, everyone would try to be getting me everywhere.”

Upcoming, Bangda has planned visits with Alabama, MSU and Michigan, sometime in late July, he says. Bangda says he’ll be looking at overall environment, academics and his planned major of as a neurosurgeon during his campus visits.
