Just finishing his sophomore year at Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph, 2019 defensive lineman Howard Cross is still growing at 6-foot-2, 240-pounds.
And, well, schools have already noticed his growth on the football field too, with Michigan extending an offer his way in May.
“I was very, very humbled and very excited to receive an offer from Michigan,” Cross said. “It means a lot to me. They have a very great business school and it’s a nationally known very good football program, and they definitely have my attention.”
Adding: “With coach Jim Harbaugh being the head coach, I was actually a really big fan of Michigan, I watched some games,” he said. “I know Amani Toomer went there, he’s very good friend of my family. I just know they are very good at acamecis and football.”
Along with Michigan, Cross also holds notable offers from Maryland, Rutgers and Georgia Tech among others. Yet, he says he still hasn't decided on his visit schedule this summer, but did note he would like to see what U-M’s campus has to offer.
“I’m not sure where I want to go right now, I’m trying to figure it out,” he said of his visit schedule. “But if I were to go to Michigan I would like to se the facilities, the school and the campus.”
