The Wolverines have hosted several prospects already this week and that trend continued on Tuesday when Belleview (Fla.) 2019 offensive tackle Michael Tarquin stopped by to visit. The talented Sunshine State offensive lineman traveled up to Ann Arbor and left feeling very impressed.
“It went great, Tarquin told The Michigan Insider. “I saw the Big House, campus, and their facilities. I met the majority of the coaching staff including Coach (Jim) Harbaugh, and spent most of my time with Coach (Greg) Frey, and Coach (Tim) Drevno. They just said they love me, and told me what they have to offer. It was great.”
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Tarquin got to experience quite a bit during his time in Ann Arbor. However, the highlight of his trip was getting to meet and chat with the Wolverine coaching staff.
“Talking with Coach Drevno and Coach Frey (was my favorite part),” said Tarquin. “I just liked getting to know them better. I was just surprised about how much I loved the place. I’m just very excited, it is a great place.”
Tarquin also noted that he plans to return to Michigan this fall and will be attending Miami’s Paradise camp later on this summer.
After visiting Michigan, Tarquin has now seen his interest significantly rise in the Wolverines and considers them a program standing out.
“I’m extremely interested,” said Tarquin. “I love the coaches, and how much they have to offer outside of football. By the way, I also like how the Maize and Blue looks on me.”
“Clemson, Michigan, Miami (just some)," Tarquin added as the programs currently sticking out.
