Ohio OL Braxton On ND Visit, Visits

The biggest visitor, by far, at the big Notre Dame game win was OL Brandon Braxton from Youngstown, Oh., Ursuline. We got through last (Wed.) night and asked him about his visit plans -- they're somewhat unusual.

Offensive lineman Brandon Braxton (6-7, 300 lbs., 5.1 in the 40, 3.75 GPA) from Youngstown, Oh., Ursuline is HUGE -- not fat, just tall, big-boned, wide-bodied ala Tony Pape. Brandon is a hard to guy reach on the phone -- after several days of trying we got through to him late last (Wed.) night.

How was your visit Saturday?

"I enjoyed it. Michigan really ran the ball on Notre Dame."

Who did you hang around with, and which coaches did you talk to?

"I went with a couple teammates so I mainly was with them. And I talked to all the coaches -- mostly to Coach Moeller, Coach Loeffler, Coach Sheridan, Coach Carr."

Michigan has offered you a scholarship, correct?

"Yes, I've had a Michigan offer for quite a while."

Have you decided anything about official visits?

"I've set one for Nebraska, for after the season, and that's it so far. I'm making unofficial visits to Michigan so I don't think I need an official visit there -- I've pretty much been able to see everything there. For official visits I'm looking at schools I haven't been to."

Do you have a top five schools?

"Not yet. There's Michigan, and Ohio State, Nebraska. And I'm looking at several others too: Miami, Georgia, LSU, Penn State ... maybe more."

Braxton is TheInsiders.com's #73 prospect. He attended Michigan's OSU basketball junior day last winter.
