It was safety Jamar Adams (Sept. 6 official visit, 2003 U-M Camper, 2001 U-M Camper, V-Tech Nike stats: 6-2 1/2,193 lbs., 4.13 sec. Shuttle, 33.2 inch vertical jump … 3.0 GPA/940 SAT) from Matthews, N.C., Butler! And he was out partying!
Why did he choose Michigan?
"Michigan is the greatest opportunity in the world! It's a great education, they play Ohio State and Notre Dame every year! Who could ask for more than that!"
"Call me back in a little while and I'll tell you more. Or I'll call you again when I get home!"
GoBlueWolverine Magazine's Don Hoekwater spoke with Butler Head Coach Mike Newsome, who was attending a Butler J.V. game, "I think it's great," Newsome said. "Jamar went up to visit Michigan a couple weeks ago for the Houston game and came away very impressed. He called (Michigan Head Coach) Lloyd Carr last night and committed to Michigan."
Coach Newsome talked about his star DB, "He's just a great person on an off the field," he said. "He's our team leader. This is a great opportunity for him and we're excited."
More to come!
