The Latest on Doug Dutch

Washington D.C. speedster <b>Doug Dutch</b> has been on Michigan's radar for quite some time. His 4.34 forty time has attracted offers from 25 schools. Narrowing his choices down to five has been a task, but he's almost there. He fills us in on where things stand at this point.

How has your season been going so far?

"I have 5 catches for 60 yards and 2 touchdowns. I also have an interception that I returned 80 yards for a touchdown."

Have you given any thought to playing both sides of the ball on the next level?

"No, not really. I think I’ll just be a receiver."

Have you heard from Michigan this month?

"Yes, I have spoken to them a few times."

What coaches did you speak to?

"I spoke to Coach Campbell."

Have you spoken to Coach Carr yet?

"No, not yet."

Have you been able catch Michigan on TV anytime this season?

"Yes. I like really their offense. It looks really balanced."

Are you looking to go in and play right away, or are you open to redshirting?

"I really prefer to go in and get playing time right away."

Do you know what you want to major in?

"Not really, but I know it will be some type of science."

Have you decided on that fifth official visit yet?


Do you have a top 5?

"Yeah. I like Miami, Florida, Michigan, and UVA. I’m going to visit those schools. The fifth spot is between Tennessee, Maryland, Pittsburgh and Stanford."

Remind me when your Michigan visit is set for.

"I’ll be taking it December 12-14."

What will you be looking for on your visit?

“I’ll just be looking to see how comfortable I am at the school, especially with the coaches and the players.”
