"Coach Jackson is down here."

Another Michigan coach pops up during the bye week.

Ja'Kouri Williams (Dec. 5 official visit, 2002 U-M Camper, 5-11, 180 lbs., 4.35 in the 40, 2.2 core GPA/18 ACT) from Plaquemine, La. told us:

"Coach Jackson is down here. He gave me a call last night and we talked for quite a while - about my season and Michigan's season. He said he's gonna try his best to get to my game Friday."

Do you have a Michigan visit set now?

"Yes, for the December 5th weekend."

Ja'Kouri, the last thing I've seen is that you have a favorite now?

"Yes -- well I have two favorites. Michigan and Tennessee. It's a tie between those two." Note: he visits Tennessee Dec. 12, and also has a visit scheduled to Nebrasks for Jan. 6.

How is your season going?

"We started off slow, we had a lot of injuries and started 1-3. I was one of the injured guys, I had a deep thigh bruise, and then a slight concussion. Now we've won our last five games and are 6-3. We have a big game tomorrow. If we win tomorrow -- the team we play, if we beat them it would stop them from winning the district. And then it's on to the playoffs."

Williams is TheInsiders.com's #48 prospect.
