Ginn's Home From Full Weekend

Ohio DB Ted Ginn was an official visitor this past weekend. With former teammates on both Michigan (Pierre Woods) and Ohio State (Donte Whitner, Troy Smith), we wanted to know how he felt sitting in the Big House.

We spoke Sunday evening to Cornerback Ted Ginn (Nov. 22 official visit, 2002 Michigan camper, U.S. Army Combine stats: 6-2, 187 lbs., 28.0 vertical jump, 4.40 in the 40, 4.17 in the shuttle, 28-inch vertical jump … PSU Nike stats: 5-11.5, 169 lbs., 4.31 in the 40, 3.3 GPA/19 ACT) from Cleveland, Ohio, Glenville. First we said Hi to Ted's Head Coach and father, Ted Ginn Sr., who accompanied Ted along with Mrs. Ginn. Ted Sr. said, "Hi Tom. We really enjoyed the game! We got caught up in that crowd!" And Mrs. Ginn added, "That was a little tough, having kids on both teams. That was a little different ... we were rooting for everybody."

So we asked Ted Jr. who he found himself rooting for.

"I wasn't really rooting for either team, because I've got players on both teams. So I was caught in the middle. That's how it felt, right in the middle."

Who was your host, Ted?

"The first night my host was Sean Crable. Then on Saturday after the game it was Pierre (Woods, a former Glenville player), along with Marlin Jackson. And I met Max Martin, who's a Michigan commitment, who was on his official visit too."

Mrs. Ginn added, "We talked to everybody ... all the coaches, the academic people, just everyone. It was such a full weekend -- it's only 7:00 (Sunday night) but it feels like bedtime!"

Ted, where else are you visiting?

"Michigan was my first official visit. This weekend I go to Pitt, then on the 5th to Ohio State, on the 12 to USC, and on the19th I go to Miami."

Are you trying to decide by New Year's?

"Yeah. I'll probably do it at half time of the US Army All Star Game."

Ginn is's #17 prospect.
