Jamison Makes A Second U-M Visit

An unofficial visitor at the Michigan-OSU game Saturday was top Ill. DE Tim Jamison. We talked to Tim and his father Sunday evening.

Defensive end Tim Jamison (6-3, 230 lbs., 4.8 in the 40) from Harvey, Ill, Thornton and his father were both at the Big House Saturday.

How did you like the game?

"It was great! I liked the atmosphere. I got to talk to the players, and to Talked to Coach Carr briefly. "

Was that your first trip to the Big House?

"I had not been to Michigan for a game before, but I was there for their junior day at the end of July last summer."

Did you set an official visit to Michigan?

Mr. Jamison: "We set a tentative visit date for Dec. 5. They said they'd call later in the week to confirm it."

Has Michigan offered Tim a scholarship yet?

Mr. Jamison: "Not yet." Tim: "No, they have not come across with one yet."

What schools have offered you a scholarship?

Mr. Jamison. "Quite a few: Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern, Illinois, Indiana -- those are just the Big Ten schools."

Does Tim have any other official visits set?

Mr. Jameson. "Not scheduled. We will sit down and put it all in perspective soon. I'd say WIsconsin, Iowa and Michigan State are likely to get visits."

Now that Tim's season is over do you have final stats for him?

Mr. Jamison: "He was named (Chicago) area Defensive Player of the Year . We were told he had 20 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and 18 hurries. Tim is also playing in the US Army All Star Game in San Antonio."
