OSU Game Visitors -- "The Long List"

Here is our looong list of visitors, official and unofficial, to the OSU Spanking. We've taken our time compiling the list in order to find out who as many as possible of the double-digit-junior visitors are!

Not there: WR Adrian Arrington (Dec. official visit, 2002 U-M Camper, U-M Nike stats: 6-4, 177 lbs., 4.5 in the 40, 32.4 inch vertical, 4.28 sec. Shuttle … 3.5 GPA) from Cedar Rapids, Ia., George Washington. It was good that he's postponed to Dec. 12. Having a game Friday night (they lost in the playoffs) he would have come in to Detroit Metro at 10:30 AM Saturday morning -- and due to the gravel-truck-turnover trafic jam in Ann Arbor would not have made it to the game until half-time! He really wanted to get there for the game, etc. -- but as the Hot News report above notes, he watched the game on TV.

- Official visit: OL Brett Gallimore (Nov. 22 official visit, 6-5, 290 lbs., 5.1 in the 40, 300-lb.bench press, 2.6 GPA) from Riverside, Mo., Park Hill South (Kansas City area). The Gallimores were Blue-bedecked and seemed to be having a good time. He was actually hosted more by fellow-recruit Grand Debenedictis at the game (Grant said later that Gallimore is trying to decide whether to take a 5th visit, but probably will, to Florida). Again, there is a good TheInsiders report on Brett, who has now officially visited U-M, OSU, Purdue and Florida State.

- Official visit: Michigan Commitment #2 Max Martin (Nov. 22 official visit, May 27 unofficial visit, 6-2, 210 lbs., 4.5 in the 40, 305-lb. bench press, 2.5 GPA/24 ACT/1070 SAT) from Madison, Ala., Bob Jones (in the Huntsville area).

- Official visit: Cornerback Ted Ginn (Nov. 22 official visit, 2002 Michigan camper, U.S. Army Combine stats: 6-2, 187 lbs., 28.0 vertical jump, 4.40 in the 40, 4.17 in the shuttle, 28-inch vertical jump … PSU Nike stats: 5-11.5, 169 lbs., 4.31 in the 40, 3.3 GPA/19 ACT) from Cleveland, Ohio, Glenville. See our post-game interview with the Ginns.

- Michigan commitment #7: OL Grant DeBenedictis (2003 and 2002 U-M Camper, 6-4, 270 pounds, 3.75 GPA/31 ACT) from Boca Raton, Fla., St. Andrews Prep.

- Michigan commitment #12: Safety Jamar Adams (Sept. 6 official visit, 2003 U-M Camper, 2001 U-M Camper, V-Tech Nike stats: 6-2 1/2,193 lbs., 4.13 sec. Shuttle, 33.2 inch vertical jump … 3.0 GPA/940 SAT) from Matthews, N.C., Butler. Jamar came with his caoch, and was all smiles as usual as he helped as much as he could with Ted Ginn.

- Michigan Commitment #5: DL Will Johnson (2003 U-M Camper, U-M Nike stats: 6-4.5, 278 lbs, 5.15 in the 40 {4.71 electronic at the U-M Camp}, 30 bench press reps., 27.9 inch vertical, 4.56 sec. Shuttle … 425 lb. bench press 3.8 GPA/qualified) from Lake Orion, Mich. Will was walking normally on his ACL-repaired knee.

- Michigan commitment #4: ILB/FB Roger Allison (2003 U-M Camper, U-M Nike stats: 6-1 1/2, 229 lbs., 27 bench press reps., 3.4 GPA/25 ACT) from Lake Orion, Mich.

- Michigan commitment #3: DE Chris Rogers (2003 U-M Camper, 6-3, 240 lbs., 4.67 in the 40 {Metro Index Combine}, 350-lb. bench press, 3.3 GPA/950 SAT) from Wexford, Pa., North Allegheny (in western Pa.).

- Michigan Commitment #1: Morgan Trent (Dec. 5 official visit. STAN Nike stats: 6-1, 180 lbs., 4.41 in the 40, 3.88 sec. shuttle, 35.3 vertical jump, 15 bench press reps.) from Orchard Lake St. Mary's.

- DE Tim Jamison (6-3, 225 lbs.) from Harvey, Ill, Thornton. See our post-game interview with Jamison.

- OL Kyle Mitchum (2003 U-M Camper, 6-5, 270 lbs., 340 lb. bench press, 5.0 in the 40, 2.9 GPA) from Erie, Pa., McDonald.

- RB Andrew Johnson (PSU Nike stats: 5-10 1/2, 200 lbs., 4.22 in the 40, 36.6 inch vertical jump, 2.3 GPA) from Pittsburgh, Pa., North Hills. This is an interesting one -- but there are serious concerns of the Pitt commit will qualify.

- WR Fred Davis (U-M Nike stats: 6-3.5, 200 lbs., 4.59 in the 40, 12 bench press reps., 30.5 inch vertical, 4.17 sec. shuttle) from Toledo Oh., Rogers. Davis came to the game, but is not looking seriously at U-M.

- LB John Thompson (planned 2003 U-M Camper, 6-3, 210 lbs.) from Detroit Crockett. He also made a Notre Dame game unofficial visit.

- CB Leslie Majors (2003 U-M Camper, 5-10, 170 lbs., 4.4 in the 40) from South Holland, Ill., Thornwood.

- WR Jon Lapsley (5-11, 180 lbs.) from Fort Wayne, Ind.

- Jr. DT Terrance Taylor (2003 U-M Camper, 6-0, 285 lbs.) from Muskegon, Mich. This was Terrance's 4th game visit this season -- U-M leads for this future Top 100 prospect.

- Jr. Linebacker/DE James McKinney (2003 Michigan Camper, 6-3, 275 lbs.) from Louisville, Kent., Central. McKinney has DT size but won an award as a tight end at last summer's Michigan Camp. He has told the Louisville Courier-Journal, "Don't be surprised if you see me in maize and blue. I like Michigan a lot."

- Jr. QB Evan Sharpley (2003 U-M Camper, 6-3, 200 lbs.) from Marshall, Mich. He's also made Purdue, Notre Dame and CMU game unofficial visits.

- Jr. Ath. Jamarrio O'Neal (6-1, 190 lbs.) from Cleveland, Ohio, Glenville. He is already an OSU commitment.

- Jr. QB Robby Schoenhoft (6-6, 225 lbs.) from Cincinnati, Ohio, St. Xavier. Robby also visited for the Indiana game.

- Junior QB Miles Schleister (6-3, 180 lbs.) from Washington Court House, Ohio. This friend of the Mark Bihl family is the nephew of Art Schlichter.
