TE/LB James McKinney (2003 Michigan Camper, 6-3, 280 lbs.) attended this past Saturday's 100th meeting between Michigan and Ohio State. The Courier-Journal is also reporting that a Michigan assistant was at Central earlier this week and McKinney made the commitment then. This would be Michigan's second pick up for the class of 2005. East Grand Rapids Junior running back Kevin Grady made his pledge for the Wolverines back in September.
McKinney reportedly picked Michigan over Notre Dame, Purdue, and Kentucky and is considered one of the top juniors in the nation.
Central's season ended on Nov. 11 with a 20-19 loss to Southwestern-Pulaski County in the 3A playoffs. They closed at 8-3 on the year.
