Michigan Trip Impresses Williams

Plaquemine High School (LA) RB Ja'Kouri Williams was in Michigan this weekend and had some good things to say, especially about the weather. He also spent time with one of his potential competitors at the running back position.

The last time Plaquemine (LA) four-star RB Ja'Kouri Williams (Dec. 5 official visit, 2002 U-M Camper, 5-11, 180 lbs., 4.35 in the 40, 2.2 core GPA/18 ACT) was in Michigan it was nice and warm. He attended last summer's football camp at Michigan and while that was nice, he had some concerns about what the winter was like. "It wasn't as cold as I thought," he said. "It was windy yesterday (Saturday) but overall it wasn't that bad."

Did he commit? "No sir," Williams said.

Williams said he enjoyed the trip a lot, and got to hang out with another RB. "I spent most of the time with Michael Hart, the running back from New York," he said. "We talked about all the stuff he did this year and had some fun."

Williams host was Leon Hall. He said they watched a lot of film and he was able to see what he would face if he came to Michigan. "I think I can come in there and play," he said. "It may not be the first year but it would definitely be soon after that."

With weather concerns addressed did Michigan move up in his opinion? "Yes, it's between Michigan and Tennessee," Williams said. "I go to Tennessee this weekend and I want to see how they do with the visit. I'll probably take a couple more visits in January and decide, then I'll announce on Signing Day."
