We just reached DL Corey Mills (Dec. 12 official visit, 6-4, 260 lbs., 4.8 in the 40, 3.3 GPA, 21 ACT) from Memphis, Tenn., Christian Brothers.
First off did you commit?
"No, I did not commit. I have January visits scheduled, to Mississippi (Jan. 9), Florida (Jan. 16) and Memphis (Jan. 23)."
Tell us a little about the visit.
"It was our first trip to Michigan -- my mom's and mine. The visit went real well, I really enjoyed myself. My host was Clayton Richard. We went to the basketball game Saturday, and we spent the weekend hanging around with Will Paul and a lot of the freshman players. When I talked to Coach Carr today, he said Michigan wanted me to play defensive end for them."
What is it that attracts you to Michigan?
"I really like the coaches, Coach Herrmann, Coach Sheridan and Coach Carr. And, it's just that it's Michigan. I could see myself fitting in there. But it was my first official visit."
Christian Brother finished the season 9-2 following a 28-14 loss to Brentwood Academy in the state semi-finals. For the regular season Mills had 72 tackles including 17 for loss, eight sacks and one interception.
"It's just that it's Michigan ..."
