Walton Taking Visits

GoBlueWolverine Magazine spoke Thursday night with Hubbard (Chicago) DL Marques Walton who talked about his recent visit to Purdue and whether or not it effected his choice of schools.

Hubbard DL Marques Walton (6-3, 280 lbs., 4.9 in the 40, 365 lb. bench press, 30 inch vertical jump, 2.5 GPA/25 ACT) took an official visit to Purdue this weekend, a week after taking his official visit to Michigan. "It was nice," he said. "I went down there to check things out and it was pretty good."

He was slated to take another official to Illinois this weekend but said, "No, I'm not taking any more visits. Michigan is still my leader and I'm still thinking of announcing on Christmas Day."

Michigan is recruiting Walton as a defensive tackle and playing time is a big factor. "When I was on my visit to Michigan I got a chance to look at the depth chart on the defensive line and it looks like I could come in right away and play," he said. "I wouldn't have to red-shirt and I like the idea of early playing time."
