Doug Dutch Has A Hectic Day

We reached the home late last (Wed.) night of Washington D.C. wide receiver Doug Dutch. What a day he had!

We dialed the Dutch house a little after 10:00 PM Wednesday night. Doug's father answered the phone with a friendly whisper.

"There is still a coach here! It's Coach Groh from Virginia."

Has Doug had all three head coaches there today?

"Yes -- it's been quite a day! Coach Carr was here for his in-home earlier in the evening. And Coach Zook from Florida was at Doug's school during the day. Doug still has one more visit tomorrow -- with Coach Friedgen from Maryland. That's it."

The head coach in-home visits were supposed to be spread out, with Zook scheduled for Monday, Groh Tuesday, and Carr Wednesday -- but somehow they all got bunched up. In addition, Coach Coker from Miami was supposed to visit Doug last Thursday, but he never made it in.

Doug himself told us a week ago, "I'm just going to let everyone come in and make their in-home visits and then decide by Friday."

WR/CB Doug Dutch (Dec. 12 official visit, 6-2, 185 lbs., 4.3 in the 40, 3.9 GPA) from Washington D.C. Gonzaga is's #74 prospect, and played in the US Army All American Game.
