Four Recruits to Go, Two Deciding Any Day

We are in a 'waiting pattern' now, but one never knows when someone will 'drop'! Here is some new info on each of Michigan's four remaining top recruits.

- OL/DL Dumaka Atkins (Jan. 23 official visit, 6-4, 280 lbs., 300 lb. bench press, 3.25 GPA/1110 SAT) from Sarasota, Fla., Booker. He picked FSU yesterday afternoon.

Four top recruits left:

- LB/DE Tim Jamison (Jan. 9 Michigan official visit, 6-3, 225 lbs., 2.25 GPA, Dec. ACT) from Harvey, Ill, Thornton, TheInsiders' #61 prospect now and a participant in the U.S. Army Game.
Jamison took his third and final visit this past weekend, to MSU (he also visited Wisconsin). The Jamisons were not talking yesterday (Monday), but Tim told us Friday morning he will try to decide this week. U-M and MSU are considered to have the best shots now. Coach Carr made his in-home last Thursday.
GBW's guess at U-M's chances with him: 50%, perhaps slightly higher.

- WR Adrian Arrington (Dec. 12 official visit, 2002 U-M Camper, U-M Nike stats: 6-4, 177 lbs., 4.5 in the 40, 32.4 inch vertical, 4.28 sec. Shuttle … 3.5 GPA) from Cedar Rapids, Ia., George Washington, TheInsiders' #64 prospect and a U.S. Army Game participant.
Arrington came home from his UCLA last tonight. He has a basketball game tonight, then will try to decide this week as well -- probably between U-M and Iowa.
GBW's guess at U-M's chances with him: 50%, perhaps slightly lower.

- DE/OLB Eugene Germany (Oct. 18 official visit, USC Nike stats: 6-3 1/2, 248 lbs…. 4.65 in the 40, 2.3 GPA) from Pomona, Calif., (underrated as) TheInsiders #26 West prospect.
His official visits are finished, and he now tells us GBW talks to Germany that he plans to wait until Signing Day to decide -- probably between U-M and USC.
GBW's guess at U-M's chances with him: 50%, perhaps slightly lower.

- WR Cameron Colvin (Sept. 13 official visit, STAN Nike stats: 6-1, 188 lbs., 4.31 in the 40, 3.85 shuttle, 32.4 inch vertical, 13 bench press reps. … 2.3 GPA/16 ACT) from Concord, Calif., De La Salle.
He will announce on Signing Day between U-M and USC, with Oregon making a push. And will LSU get in it late with his buddy Early Doucet committed there? Coach Carr makes his final in-home visit this Thursday with Colvin.
GBW's guess at U-M's chances with him: 50% (maybe slightly high, but we choose to be an optimist here!).

Pleasant memory -- AND ... for good luck this week!
