Two More Prospects at Top Dayton Program This Year

Dayton (Ohio) Chaminade-Julienne head coach Jim Place has two of Ohio's highest rated junior prospects in his stable and Michigan has shown interest in both of them. Coach Place gave GoBlueWolverine brief scouting reports on his star cornerback Brandon Harrison, and on his star running back, Javon Ringer.

Has Michigan offered either of your kids yet?

“There has been no offer that I know of, but they have shown interest in both of them.”

Tell me about them as players.

Brandon Harrison is very fast. As a sophomore last year he ran a 10.6 in the Division 1 state semi-finals. He’s probably in the top 2 this year. Jamario O ‘ Neal (OSU commit) is the only guy back that beat him. He’s a very physical football player. He’s pushing 5-10 and he’s got his weight up to about 198. He runs, he hits, and he has a 3.2 grade point average. Plus he’s a great kid. He’s got everything you want.”

Javon Ringer is 5-10, 210 lbs. He finished 3rd last year for Mr. Football. He had 2400 yards rushing as a sophomore and 2300 yards rushing last year. He also runs a 10.6 100m, plus he has a black belt in karate. He won the Ohio power-lifting contest for all weight classes. He benches 380 lbs. and squats 540 lbs.”

Are they leaning to any particular schools at this point?

“Both are open right now, but I don’t think they’ll go too far from home.”

Have they taken any unofficial visits yet?

“I’m not sure if they have or not.”

Do you know their camping intentions this summer?

“No I don’t, but I think they’ll go to one of the Nike Camps.”

GBW will have more from Brandon and Javon very soon.
