"I Grew Up a Real Big Michigan fan."

<p>GoBlueWolverine Magazine caught up with Chicago Morgan Park's <strong>Melvin Rice</strong> while in Chicago this weekend. The talented defensive back is hearing from schools such as Michigan, Iowa, Notre Dame, and Illinois to name a few. He fills us in on his summer plans and what he'll be looking for in a school.</p>

Have you visited any of the schools on your list yet?

"No, I haven't taken any visits yet."

Have you received any offers up to this point?

"No, not yet."

Did you grow up a fan of any particular school?

"I grew up a real big Michigan fan."

Do you have any camping plans this summer?

"I'll be going to one of the Nike camps. I'll also camp at Oklahoma, and maybe Michigan."

Coach Spurlock gave a pretty detailed description of what you're like as a player. How would you describe yourself?

"I'm 5-11, l85 lbs. and I run a 4.5 forty. I like to compare myself to Charles Woodson. I grew up watching him at Michigan. I'm a really aggressive player but I don't really say anything on the field. I let my play do the talking."

What will be the significant factors in your decision?

"Academics will be a factor. I'll also be looking at how I relate to the coaches and the depth chart."

What do you want to major in?

"Electrical Engineering."

Have you thought about when you might like to make your decision?

"No, I don't have a timetable yet."
