SoCal MSL/TheInsiders Combine - Day One

The MSL/TheInsiders Camp rolled into Long Beach Poly High School in Long Beach, Calif. on Saturday for day one of this stop on their tour of 13 cities. GoBlueWolverine Magazine was in attendence and caught a few names that may be familiar to Michigan fans.

A beautiful Southern California day greeted about 40 kids who turned out for the camp today, the first of two days of training and drills for up and coming seniors. Former San Diego Charger and All-Pro running back Chuck Muncie was one of many high profile coaches on hand to share their knowledge and experience with these prospects.

One name that is very familiar to Michigan fans is defensive lineman Mataele Pau'u from Mira Costa High School in Manahattan Beach, Calif. Pau'u reports offers from several Pac 10 and other West Coast schools, and is hearing from Michigan.

Another prospect looking to the Midwest is quarterback Chris Turner from Chaminade College Prep School in West Hills, Calif.

A name that may not be common around the Michigan dinner table is linebacker/running back Eric Renteria from Western Christian High School in Covina, Calif.

GoBlueWolverine Magazine will have more on these prospects, including photos, later today.
