Jamisons Visit Michigan for Spring Game

Michigan defensive line commitment Tim Jamison was in Ann Arbor this past weekend with his mom, dad, and brother Terrance Jamison from Thornton Township, Ill. GoBlueWolverine Magazine talked with Terrance Tuesday night to get an idea of how the visit went and whether he is looking to join brother Tim or make his own path.

"I liked the trip," defensive end Terrance Jamison said. "I like the environment and I liked the play, it was a nice day. I talked to Coach Moeller, Coach Sheridan, and Coach Herrmann but I didn't talk to Coach Carr."

Jamison told GBW in February that he was taking his time with his recruitiment and nothing has changed. "I'm still going to take it slow," he said. "I'm playing baseball right now." Jamison said he plays first base, pitcher, third base, and outfield for Harvey High School. "I like playing pitcher the best," he said. "I'm hitting about .333 right now and we're doing ok as a team."

At the moment Jamison lists Wisconsin as his only offer though he is getting attention from several other Midwest powers, including Michigan and Notre Dame. But he isn't set on staying local. "If someone else starts paying attention (from outside the Midwest) I'll look at them, sure," he said.

No school stands out for Jamison at this time and while he says big bro talks to him about coming with him to Ann Arbor, "He doesn't really pressure me about it and my parents are going to let me do what I want."

Jamison said he has no plans to attend any camps this summer except the one put on by his school. GBW reported that he looked a little bigger than his 225 listing. "I've put on a little weight," Jamison said. "I'd say I'm over 230 now." He says schools are recruiting him as a defensive end.

The All-Conference and All-Area standout reports a 3.4 grade-point-average and took the ACT on April 3.

Comment: Jamison appeared to be receiving a considerable amount of attention from the Michigan staff during the scrimmage on Saturday. Does this foretell an offer? You can be sure GBW will keep you up to date on any developments in Jamison's recruiting.
