Spring Game Visitors: Four More

When going over our 'spotters' lists of junior recruits attending last Saturday's Spring Game, we gave you the names of the kids we recognized right away, and saved several others more a 'second look'. Here are some of those 'others' -- including a top Pa. running back and two massive offensive tackles.

None of the first four kids listed below have offers yet, but they are definitely Div. One -- and possibly Michigan -- recruits, and all have TheInsiders database entries.

1. Running back Mario Henry (5-11, 200 lbs, 4.4 in the 40, 40 inch vertical jump, 450 lb. bench press) from Erie, Pa., Strong Vincent. U-M and PSU are his favorites. As a junior he rushed for 1,002 yards (7.1 yards per carry) and 19 touchdowns.

2. We had already listed this next guy, but we repeat him here since we also saw him at the Feb. 29 Junior Day:
-- Offensive tackle Zach Hennis (6-8, 340 lbs., 365 lb. bench press) from Plain City, Oh., Jonathan Alder. He attended the Feb. 29 Junior Day as well as the 2004 U-M Spring Game. Alder, one of the smaller schools in the state of Ohio, went 9-2 in 2003.

3. Offensive tackle Cory Zirbel (6-7, 300 lbs., 5.1 in the 40) from Murray, Kent. Michigan is his favorite.

4. Cornerback Dominic Jones (5-9, 185 lbs.) from Columbus, Oh., Brookhaven.

-- Also spotted, Defensive back Evan McCoy (6-0, 180 lbs.) from Battle Creek, Mich., Central.

And there are still a few other names that we are tracking down. All the kids above, and those that remain to be tracked down, were spotted and written down for me by my own (TBeaver's) eagle-eyed daughter! (sorry, had to brag just a little).
