Brandon Logan Profile

LB Brandon Logan (6-1, 210, 4.7) of Lexington Catholic (KY) is the younger brother of redshirt frosh WR John Logan, who plays for Kentucky.

"He tells me to go where I'm the most comfortable. He's not pushing me," said Logan. "He was a pretty big recruit and says that I should just enjoy it and take all my visits. He committed early and didn't get a chance to take his trips and he thinks I should wait to commit."

Brandon favors Michigan slightly over Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisville and Georgia and all have offered except the Bulldogs. "Kentucky is only like seven miles away, but I have no preference about how far I go. I like that they are an up and coming team and I'd be able to help them build.

"But my favorite right now is Michigan. I plan to go to their camp. They were my first scholarship offer last Nov. They are a winning program. They won the Big Ten last year and they are really serious about football and the academics are great too."

Absent from Brandon's list is his childhood fave team, the Florida Gators. "They were just my childhood team. I watched them all the time.

"I'd like to play for a winning program and where I feel comfortable."

Brandon missed six games last season with a torn ligament in his right arm, but still managed to get 60 tackles. He benches 285, squats 375 and has a VJ of 30.

"I like playing on the perimeter. I play the pass good and I like to blitz. I want to improve my vertical and agility. I want to get faster and quicker."

2.5/17 ACT

GBW note: despite the mediocre 40 times posted for him, the scouting report on him is: The Guy Can Run! There is a difference between 'track speed' and 'football speed'. We saw Brandon's football speed ourselves at the 2003 Michigan Nike Camp where he posted a 4.6 40. Older brother John BTW was a top U-M recruit, and surprised everyone by picking Kent. early last year over U-M (Mr. Logan, the father, came up to us at the U.S. Army Combine this past Jan. and said that even he was surprised at John's choice!). Both Brandon and his brother are multi-year U-M Campers -- in fact U-M offered Brandon at the U-M Camp a year ago.
