DeSean Jackson is a 5 foot 11, 175 pound wide receiver from the storied football program at Long Beach, Calif., Poly. He runs a 4.4 sec. 40, and as a junior he made 43 receptions for 821 yards and 11 touchdowns. He is Max Emfinger's #4 wide receiver.
DeSean, did Michigan came to your school last week?
"Yes. Coach English came to my school, a week ago Wednesday. He just said hi to me, but he told my coach that I have a Michigan scholarship offer."
Have you gotten a phone call from Coach English or Coach Carr yet?
"No. My only phone call so far has been from USC."
Who else has offered you a scholarship?
"USC, Cal, Florida State, Nebraska, Pittsburg, and Arizona."
You do have a list of top schools?
"I have a top three: USC, Cal and Florida State."
Are you going to any camps this summer?
"I went to the one-day USC camp a couple weeks ago. And I'll go to the Stanford Nike Camp is a couple weeks. But I don't plan to go to any summer camps."
Jackson is also a top baseball player, hitting almost .400 and playing center field right now for the Poly baseball team. He is considered a potential MLB Draft pick next year (2005).
