Moosman Names a Top Three

Libertyville, Ill., High School’s David Moosman planned to visit Ann Arbor last weekend and thought that a Michigan offer might have been waiting for him when he got there. We spoke with the versatile lineman recently and he updated us on where things stand at this point.

Were you able to make it in for your unofficial visit?

“Yes, I just took it last weekend. I also visited Michigan State and Notre Dame. They were fun too, but I didn’t spend as much time with them as I did Michigan.”

“My dad and my sister came along too. It went well. Michigan offered me a scholarship. I talked with Mr. Moeller and Mr. Carr a great deal about the program there.”

Did they indicate whether they were recruiting you for a specific line position?

“I think I have assets that lend to me playing both positions, but I think they’re leaning more towards tackle.”

What did you do while on campus?

“Mr. Moeller guided me around on a campus tour. I saw places like West Quad, East Quad, the weight room, and a few other sites.”

What were your overall impressions coming out of the visit?

“I think that it has one of the greatest traditions in all of college football.”

On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best, how would you rate your trip?

“It was a 9 or 10.”

Do you have a top 5?

“Well, I’m pretty well tied between three teams. They are Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan. After that, the others would be Notre Dame and Northwestern.”

You said in one of our previous interview's that you were going to camp at Michigan. Are you still planning to do so?

“Yes, I have a friend that’s going too so we’re going to bunk together.”

What other schools might you camp at?

“I think I’ll camp at those top 5 schools.”

Are you still planning to make a Signing Day decision?

“Yes, that’s still the plan.”
