James McKinney is one of the nation’s top defensive line prospects. McKinney, 6-3 and 275 pounds, is from Louisville (Ky.) Central High School. Last season as a junior he recorded 70 tackles, 9 sacks and 20 tackles for a loss. He also caught 14 passes for 290 yards and scored two touchdowns as a tight end and was also a standout blocker for Central at the fullback position.

You can easily see his athleticism on film. Defensively, he mainly plays defensive end but also sees some time at linebacker. He is quick of the ball and a solid pass rusher. McKinney is the type of player that also has a nasty streak that you love to see in defensive players. He moves well for a big man, especially down the line of scrimmage.

You will be able to see three different highlight clips of him below. The film shows McKinney playing defensive end, linebacker and fullback. At the next level he projects as a defensive tackle.
