Did Michigan Offer Cushing?

With the number of offers quickly approaching 50, linebacker Brian Cushing from Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, N.J. is one of the most sought after defensive prospects in the nation. Monday night he told GoBlueWolverine Magazine that he's been talking to the Michigan coaches on a regular basis. Have the Wolverines finally jumped into the ring?

"I talked to Coach Sheridan a couple weeks ago and he told me to expect an offer from Michigan," Brian Cushing said. "I haven't received anything in the mail yet but it's an offer I've been waiting a long time to get."

Cushing now claims 43 offers from some of the top programs in the country. While he didn't claim a favorite he did mention a few schools that are on the top of his list. "There are some schools that stick out right now, like USC, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Boston College and Stanford." he said. "All of this is coming pretty fast so I think I'm going to wait and make my decision on signing day." All of his top schools have offered.

As far as camp plans, the 6 foot 3, 227 pound Cushing said those are still up in the air. "I'm still not sure about the Michigan camp," he said. "It's not that I'm neglecting Michigan or am upset anymore, I am just going to be busy this summer. I'll be playing in the 7 on 7 leagues so I may be too busy to go to any camps."
