Schoenhoft Receives Offer No. 18

One of the top quarterbacks in the country had yet to receive a scholarship offer from the home state school. Robbie Schoenhoft from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati told GoBlueWolverine Magazine that this is no longer the case.

He also discussed his camp plans and when he'll make his college choice.

"I just received an offer today from Ohio State," Rob Schoenhoft said. "That makes 18 now. My top schools are Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Florida, and Michigan." Schoenhoft said all his favorites except for Notre Dame have offered. "They told me they would offer me when I came to camp," he said.

Speaking of camps, the 6 foot 6, 235 pound hurler will be hitting the road often this summer. "I will camp at LSU, Florida, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Notre Dame," he said. I will camp at Michigan State for two days because that is the first one I'll go to. The rest will all be for one day."

All this camping has a purpose. "I want to get all the information I can about each school before I decide," he said. "I want this over by the time practice starts on July 25, I'll decide before then because I want to devote my season to the team and don't want to be distracted."

Schoenhoft has been looking at depth charts at the various schools. "I don't want to sit for four years and play my fifth," he said. "Right now Ohio State, Florida, and Notre Dame seem to have the best chance for me as far as playing time. Notre Dame took two QB's last year but the coaches told me they are moving one (Darrin Bragg) to DB. The other one (David Wolke) was only a two or three star player so I think I can compete against him."

The big man said he wants to major in business or education. Two schools stand out above the others. "Michigan and Notre Dame have great all around academics," he said. "And Michigan has one of the top business schools in the country," he said. Schoenhoft reports a 2.9 grade point average and an 1100 on the SAT along with a 23 on the ACT.
