Richardson Piling up the Offers.

Offensive lineman Dace Richardson from Warrenville South High School in Wheaton, Ill. is racking up the offers from some big-name programs. GoBlueWolverine Magazine caught Richardson Saturday morning as he was heading out the door to attend a baseball game. Will he be coming to the Michigan camp?

"I'm up to 20 offers now," Dace Richardson said. "I don't really have a favorite but some of the schools that I like that have offered are Iowa, Tennessee, Michigan, and USC."

Richardson made an unofficial visit to Michigan for a spring practice, and had visited Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, and MSU. Will he be attending any camps this summer? "I'm not sure right now," he said.

The 6 foot 6, 300 pound linemand said Michigan is looking at him for the right tackle position. "It's hard to say right now what position I'll end up playing," he said. "All the schools are recruiting me for the offensive line but I won't know if I'll be a right or left tackle until I actually get to school." Richardson said Iowa offers the best chance for early playing time.

Richardson also played basketball up until his junior year. He gave it up so he could use the time to focus on weight training. He now reports a max bench press of 310 lbs. and a max squat of 405 lbs. He didn't attend any MSL or Nike camps this past summer and reports a 5.1 time in the 40.

He is orginally from California and grew up a fan of USC and UCLA. Both schools have offered and are in consideration for his services. "There is no problem leaving Illinois," Richardson said. "My parents want me to go where I feel most comfortable. I'll probably wait until after the season to make a decision, but if some place just feels right and I know it's the right school, then I'll make the decision at that time."

Richardson said he feels most comfortable with the coaching staffs from Iowa, Tennessee, Michigan State, and USC.
