Lexington, Kent., Catholic linebacker Brandon Logan was a U-M Camper each of he past two years, and he also attended a 2004 U-M Spring Practice. GBW called the Logans last night to find out for sure whether he'd be camping again next week.
First we talked briefly to Mr. Logan.
"Brandon is not able to camp at Michigan next week. He hurt his hamstring and it is still bothering him. We plan to make a trip up to Michigan some time this summer, but I'm not sure when."
Is he still planning to make a summer decision?
"I don't know. He's been telling me he'd like to."
Then Brandon came to the phone.
Brandon, your hamstring is still injured?
"Yeah it is. But I'm not sure yet if I'm coming up to Michigan next week. I might just come up and hang around. I'll have to talk to coach about it." Coach? "Coach Herrmann" (U-M defensive coordinator).
Do you have a leader?
"I'll just say I'm wide open ... I like Michigan, Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisville, and Florida" (all have offered him).
Do you plan to make a summer decision?
"I'm not sure. I kind've want to, and I kind've want to wait."
Are you going to any other summer camps?
"No. If I do it'll be just like at Michigan - just for a visit."
This past January Logan had US Army Combine stats of: 6-0, 189 lbs., 4.72 in the 40, 11 bench press reps., 26 inch vertical jump.
As a junior Brandon missed 6 games with torn ligament in right arm, but make 60 tackles.
Logan is TheInsiders' #71 South prospect.
