Pegues on the Way Home From Visits Up North

GoBlueWolverine Magazine caught up with cornerback Derek Pegues from South Panola high school corner in Batesville, Miss. while he was on the way home from stops in South Bend and Ann Arbor. Now that he's been on both campuses, we wanted to find out where the schools stood on his list of favorites.

"I had a good time at both schools," Derek Pegues said. "I was at the Notre Dame camp for three days, then I went up to Michigan for a day on Saturday. I talked a little bit with the coaches, we talked about the academics at Michigan and where I would fit in on the team."

GoBlueWolverine Magazine spotted Pegues at the Women's camp on Saturday and describe him as a Marlin Jackson clone. The 5 foot 11, 190-pound defensive star with 4.4 speed in the 40 had previously listed Michigan and Tennessee as his favorites. The trip appears to have caused him to step back a bit. "Right now I think I'm wide open as to my favorites," he said. "Nobody really leads right now."

Pegues told GBW previously that he would take all of his visits and make a decision on Signing Day. Click here for the Pegues video.
