"I'm in Minnesota now, checking out the school, and I'm going to Wisconsin on Thursday," Cory Zirbel said. "I was at Ohio State on Saturday and they offered me." He also said that Wisconsin would be his last unofficial visit of the summer. "We start practice on July 15th so I'm going to be busy getting ready for that." he said.
Zirbel told GBW shortly after the Michigan camp, where he picked up an offer from the Wolverines, that Michigan was his number one school. Does the Ohio State offer change things? "My top three are Michigan, Miami, and I guess Ohio State," he said. "You can add Minnesota in there too because I've been on their campus. I really don't have a No. 5."
The 6 foot 6, 290-pound Zirbel said all schools are recruiting him for the offensive tackle position, which is where he wants to play in college. He said earlier that he was close to making a decision. He updated that timeline. "I'd like to have my decision made before the season," he said.
