WR Jejuan Rankins 5-11 160 4.4 Windsor, NC (Bertie)
"I have all five of my visits set up." Jejuan Rankins said. "I'm going to North Carolina State this weekend.
I also have visits set with Michigan (12-7), Georgia (1-18), Oklahoma (1-18) and Maryland (1-25).
I don't have a leader right now because I haven't seen enough of the schools to make that kind of decision.
I'm going to be looking for a school with solid academics. I'm going to talk with the academic advisors on my visits. I plan on majoring in communications, so I would like to talk to someone in that department about internships.
I also want to go to a school with a tough coaching staff. I want coaches who make their players work hard and they don't let their players get away with anything."
Rankins is a three-year starter that has just about played every position on the field. As a sophomore, Jejuan played quarterback and safety. As a junior, he played wide receiver, safety and cornerback and this year it was back to quarterback and he played safety as well.
"I'm being recruited as a safety and that's what I want to play in college." Rankins said.
In 2001, Jejuan Rankins passed for 1,298 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also rushed for 543 yards and nine scores.
The past two seasons, Rankins has combined for 20 interceptions from his defensive back position.
