GBW spoke late last night to Orchard Lake St. Mary's DE/OLB Chris McLaurin. He'd told us he would be visiting Boston College Tuesday, and we just thought we'd call in case he did a round trip in a day. Chris himself answered the phone -- and he surprised us by saying:

"I didn't go to Boston College. I cancelled my trip. I just figured there wasn't any point in going."

So does this mean Michigan is your prohibitive favorite?

"Yes, Michigan is my big leader."

When do you think you'll make you commitment to the Michigan coaches?

"I might call them Thursday afternoon and commit."

McLaurin is 6-4, 230 lbs., and ran a 4.80 (electronic) at the Michigan Camp. As a junior the sleek and fast defensive end made 50 tackles and 9 1/2 sacks. He'd also attended U-M for the MSU basketball game this past winter.
