Bass to Decide After Visits

Quarterback Antonio Bass from Jackson, Mich. high school was expected to be in attendence at last week's Michigan camp. There was speculation he may have even been a camp commit. Circumstances prevented him from attending camp, and Wednesday night he updated GoBlueWolverine Magazine on his schedule.

GBW spoke with the mother of Antonio Bass during camp week, and she informed us that Antonio wouldn't be attending the Michigan camp, or any camps at all, this summer. Wednesday he confirmed what mom said. "I don't think I'll be going to any camps," he said. "I'll just be working out with my team and getting ready for the season."

Bass, a 6 foot 2, 195-pound athlete reports close to 30 offers and is being recruited both as a quarterback and a wide receiver. He said he would be making it over to the Ann Arbor campus this summer. "I'll be talking to the coaches and letting them know I plan on going to the academic day on July 31," he said. "I'll probably take unofficial visits to Virginia Tech and North Carolina, but I'm not sure when."

He said Michigan, Florida, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Michigan State, and Syracuse stood out above the rest. Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, and Notre Dame were recruiting him strictly as a quarterback, the position he prefers. "Michigan told me I could play wherever I wanted," he said.

Bass wasn't certain when he'll decide but did say he would like to take all of his official visits before committing. "I'll probably take them during the season," he said. Bass is rated the No. 50 player in the country by TheInsiders.
