Zirbel Back From Road Trip

We touched base with the home of offensive lineman Corey Zirbel this morning. Corely is just back from his 5-school road trip. He'd previously told us that he might be ready to decide when the trip was done. Here's the latest.

The top O-lineman at the Michigan Camp was Offensive tackle Cory Zirbel (6-5 1/2, 290 lbs., 5.08 in the 40 {electronic}, 365 lb. bench press, 3.2 GPA/19 ACT) from Murray, Kent.

Corey received a Michigan offer at the camp.

Zirbel went from the Michigan Camp to Ohio State's camp for a day, then on to visits to Wisconsin and Minnesota. And he had previously camped at Miami. After the Michigan Camp he told us that U-M was his leader, and that he might be ready to make a decision when he returned home from the trip (click HERE for our post-camp interview). But when he talked to Don Hoekwater when he was in Minnesota he said he'd decide by the end of the summer (click HERE for Don Hoekwater's mid-trip interview with Corey).

So we called the Zirbels this morning to check on the latest. We spoke with Mr. Zirbel.

"Yeah, Corey's home. He actually got home Friday night. But he's still sleeping."

We asked Mr. Zirbel the latest regarding a decision:

"I don't think he's ready to decide yet."

When Corey called and talked to Hoekwater he said Michigan and Miami are his leaders, along with possibly Ohio State.

We'll have more from Corey Zirbel as things develop.
