Iowa, MSU Games - Big Visit Weekends

The question of whether Michigan would schedule official visit weekends during the season has been answered, and in a big way. Yes! At least two of Michigan's top recruits have official visits scheduled for EACH of the two weekends.

Sept. 25 Iowa game visits

Official Visits Scheduled:

- Cornerback Justin King (Sept. 15 Iowa game offic. visit, '04 U-M Camp Visitor, 5-11, 182 lbs., 2003 PSU Nike stats: 4.29 in the 40, 3.72 sec. shuttle {best of camp}, 37.1 inch vertical jump {best of camp}, 11 bench press reps., 3.0 GPA/900 SAT) from Monroeville, Pa., Gateway. GBW has confirmed that King would be visiting for the Iowa game. U-M and PSU (Nov. 16 official visit) still have the best shot, and he also has official visits set to Florida (Oct. 2) and USC (Oct. 16) ... if he takes a 5th visit it would be to OSU. He plans to graduate in December and enroll in college in January, so he'll take his official visits in he fall. He is TheInsiders #7 prospect.

- DT Terrance Taylor (Sept. 25 Iowa game offic. visit, '03 U-M Camper, 6-0, 285 lbs., 4.9 in the 40, 2.8 GPA/20 ACT) from Muskegon, Mich. He made an official visit to LSU the Sept 3 weekend. On Sept. 14 he told us, "LSU now has a slight lead over Michigan. It's not much but they are in the lead." He will also make an official visit to Nebraska Oct. 2 and U-M Sept. 25 for the Iowa game. He attended the late-July U-M Junior Academic Day. He is TheInsiders #20 Midwest prospect.

He was offered at the U-M Camp. U-M, Miami and Oklahoma (Oct. 2 official visit) are his final three, with U-M at the top. He will likely take his official visits during the fall. He is TheInsiders' #51 South prospect.

David, Dan Doering and Dace Richardson all attended the U-M/Notre Dame game. In early Sept. he said Wisconsin (camp) and Michigan (camp) both lead slightly over Iowa (camp), Notre Dame (camp) and UCLA (he has family in LA). And, he told us, he does not feel in a hurry to make a decision. He is TheInsiders #17 Midwest prospect.

He'd like fo make an unofficial visit for the Iowa game, but U-M has not been in touch with him lately. Doering, David Moosman, and Dace Richardson all attended the U-M/Notre Dame game. He has a Michigan offer, and attended the Feb. 29 U-M Junior Day and a U-M spring practice.
