Ouimet on Indiana: "Should be a cake walk."

Former Michigan staffer Mark Ouimet: "Indiana is a team that gives up 222 yards a game rushing. Michigan better have a good game rushing next week, and Carr will make sure it does."<br><br>Also, click below for GBW's Premium Message Board<br><A HREF=http://mb7.theinsiders.com/fwolverineinsiderfrm16>Commitments' Weekly Stats; Week 5 Pick 'Em</a>

Ouimet:

"This game should be a cake walk. So there isn't that much to say about this one. Hey -- the whole Big Ten is just not that great this year. And if you've noticed, the teams that are good in the Big Ten haven't had to rebuild in last few years with new coaches.

"Indiana loses big (51-32) to Kentucky, which loses big (28-0) to Louisville.

"What has improved at Indiana is their offense. Coach Denardo improved the offense so it could go out and beat Oregon 30-24. But then they go to Kentucky and lose to very average Kentucky team 51-32.

"Indiana's problem -- the team that hasn't won, so they finish weakly in games. They don't have confidence. They give up points in the 3rd and 4th quarters, and that is Michigan's strength.

"Indiana's defense isn't the greatest. Indiana is a team that gives up 222 yards rushing. Michigan better have a good game rushing game this week, and Coach Carr will make sure it does.

"This game will let us know where Michigan's rushing game is ... if they don't get 150 yards, there's a problem. But they will get that.

"Michigan's biggest problem will be Indiana's offense. Indiana is scoring 31 points a game ... and they have a good quarterback in Notre Dame transfer Matt LoVecchio. So the Michigan defense needs to do what they did against Iowa -- pressure Lovecchio, force him into bad decision, turnovers. That's what they did last week against Drew Tate. Michigan likes to play nickel and dime defenses in passing situations -- add an extra DB to the mix. And Michigan this year has been able to dowhat OSU has done in recent years-- create turnovers. That should continue.

"And one more thing. Special teams has to pick it up, continue to improve. They can't miss extra points."

Ouimet's Prediction: "Off the board"
GBW staff prediction: 35-7.
