Florida DB Will Visit Michigan

Cornerback is a position of need for Michigan this recruiting year. One top prospect who recently decommitted from Florida has the Wolverines high on his list and will visit Ann Arbor. Demetrice Morley from Killian High School in Miami recently spoke with GoBlueWolverine Magazine about his decommitment, and his visit plans.

With defensive back Johnny Sears from Califronia already in the fold, and top DB Justin King from Pennsylvania looking more and more (fingers crossed!) like his Nov. 15 announcement will be favorable for the Wolverines, the Michigan staff has its eye on recent Florida decommit Demetrice Morley. The Miami Killian star told GoBlueWolverine Magazine that he still loves Florida, but that he wanted to explore his options. "The Florida coaches are still behind me 100 percent," he said. "They told me that it was okay to look around, but I did decommit."

Florida, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio State and North Carolina State are on the top of Morely's list at the moment. He said each team has opportunities for early playing time, which is important to him, and he likes the coaching staff at each school. "I talk to (Michigan) coach Sheridan every week and I really like him," Morely said. When asked if he has spoken with Michigan defensive backs coach Ron English he said he hadn't at this time.

The 6-0, 180-pound Morley is the No. 4 ranked defensive back in the country, according to Scout.com, and will be heading to Knoxville this weekend for an official visit. "I'm going up there for the Alabama game," he said. "I really like Tennessee and am looking foward to seeing the big stadium." Morley told Allen Wallace of Scout.com that the Vols were solid leaders as this point. But, there is also a Michigan draw that Wolverine fans have heard many times from recruits in the past. "Charles Woodson is my guy," he said. "I wear No. 24 because of him, I've loved him since he was at Michigan and I want to be just like him." Morley said he plays wide receiver at Killian and would love to play both ways in college, if given the chance.

As far as a Michigan visit? "Right now I'm looking to go up there Dec. 3," he said. Michigan and Tennessee are the only visits the five-star player has set at this time. He did say that the Vols, as well as N.C. State, were recruiting him for safety. The others, including Michigan, are looking at him for the corner spot.

Killian is off to a 5-1 start and visit Sunset tonight.
