Will Jonathan Crompton Visit Michigan?

There has been a lot of activity recently in the recruitment of quarterback Jonathan Crompton from Tuscola High School in Waynesville, N.C. Even though committed to Tennessee, the big-time prospect was considering taking an official visit to Michigan this weekend.

Four-star Quarterback Jonathan Crompton told GoBlueWolverine Magazine last week that he was "almost sure" he would be making an official visit to Ann Arbor for Saturday's Michigan State game. The Michigan staff had been in contact with him since Sept. 1, when coaches were allowed to contact recruits. Altough he said his commitment to Tennessee was still solid, he also said he wanted to check out other schools just to make certain the choice was correct. The visit to Michigan is on hold for now. "Today I am committed to Tennessee," Crompton said Monday evening. "I won't be going up to Michigan this weekend and I don't know if I'll reschedule."

The 6 foot 4, 216-pound Crompton's answers were short and snappy, possibly an indication that the process is proving to be a difficult one for the young star. While stating his commitment to Tennessee is solid for now, he left open the possibility things may change. "I don't know if I'll be committed (to Tennessee) tomorrow," he said. "I don't know if I'll be taking any other visits."

GoBlueWolverine will keep you up to date as developments occur in the recruitment of Crompton.
