Just when the Michigan Wolverines seem to be out of it for Rico McCoy, they jump right back into the fray. A few weeks ago the physical linebacker all but eliminated the maize and blue from the equation, stating in an interview, "I’m not really considering Michigan at this time.” (For the entire report, click here.) Today GBW spoke with Rico's father, Reggie, and he indicated that there was a reason for his son's comment. He also indicated that things have since changed.
"We hadn't really talked to Michigan for a while, which is why Rico said that," Mr. McCoy said. "But in the last ten days we've been hearing from Coach Herrmann quite a bit, and Coach Campbell has called last night. They asked if we'd be open to them coming in home and we said certainly. Coach Hermann will be coming to the house Thursday evening (December 2nd). When he gets here we will talk about setting something up. Rico went to Pittsburgh last week, has an Ohio State this week, and one to Tennessee next week. That leaves two visits with three schools still in there. Those are Michigan, Syracuse, and North Carolina. He'll be looking to take those last two visits in January."
GBW will have more on McCoy following the in-home visit.
