Dc 12. Brandon Harrison to Announce on Tuesday

Defensive back Brandon Harrison returned from his official visit to Michigan and spoke with GoBlueWolverine Magazine. At one time a Notre Dame commitment, Harrison opened up his recruitment following changes on the Notre Dame staff. He is ready to choose again, but will wait a couple days to announce. Will it be Michigan?

Defensive back is a position of need in this 2005 recruiting class. Brandon Harrison from Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton, Ohio was on the Michigan campus this weekend for his official visit. Although Harrison was at one time a Notre Dame commitment, the recent firing of Fighting Irish head coach caused him to open things up again. Harrison said he is ready to close them down again. "I will announce on Tuesday," he said. "It is down to Michigan and Iowa; I'll announce on ESPN News at 4:10 p.m."

As for the visit, Harrison said he and the coaches talked about playing time. "I talked to Coach English and Coach Carr, and they told me I had the skills to come in and play right now," he said. "They told me they wouldn't have offered me a scholarship if they didn't think I could play at Michigan."

So, has Harrison made his decision? "I have no comment on that," he said, laughing.

Harrison came away after his visit to Iowa with a glowing report of the Hawkeyes. How did the two schools compare? "I will say they were about equal," he said. "Playing time looks good at both schools, of course Michigan's academics are way up there. Both schools were sending me letters while I was committed to Notre Dame."

GBW will have more on Harrison, and his announcement, during the week.
