The best report for Michigan fans. Las Vegas Bishop Gorman Coach David White (coach of LB Ryan Reynolds who visited U-M for last January's Junior Day) said of his junior star, Athlete Demarco Murray (considered a top 100 junior). Coach White had told GBW last winter that he had a junior running back (Murray) who was a Michigan fan. So we asked him about DeMarco.

"Yes, DeMarco will be here for the combine. He still likes Michigan. Ron English was by the school recently. He couldn't talk to DeMarco of course, but he likes him as a cornerback. DeMarco plays running back and safety for us, but he knows his future in college is quite possibly at cornerback, so he's okay with that. He's 6-foot or 6-1 so he'd be a good size corner. I'll come with him to the Michigan Camp next summer if he wants to -- and he probably will."

A few West practice notes:

QB Ryan Perrilloux is 6-1, not 6-3+. But he looks like the most talented of the West's QB's, although he is raw and therefore Mark Sanchez will be the starter.

CB Derek Pegues. Derek is a shade under 5-10, and is playing 2nd team for the West. Kevin Thomas, who U-M recruited early on, is the best West CB.

According to Tom Lemming, the most talented guy on the West team is LB Travis Beckum from Oak Creek, Wis. (Wisconsin is 'West' this year).

WR David Nelson (Texas), a former Noter Dame recruit who Lemming kept thinking would become a U-M recruit (but who didn't) is tall and thin, reminiscent of Adrian Arrington a year ago.
