Javeare White Talks About Junior Day Visit to U-M

When GoBlueWolverine Magazine spoke with RB/DB Javeare White of Dupont Manual High School in Louisville, Ky., he gave us a grocery list of connections he had to the Michigan program, including family and friends. White returned from Junior Day on Sunday, and had glowing things to say about his trip to Ann Arbor. Is he ready to join the family?
Louisville RB/DB Javeare White is well connected to the University of Michigan football program. When GoBlueWolverine Magazine spoke last week with White, he rattled off a literal 'who's who' of Michigan people he knew (click here for that interview), including recent signee James McKinney of Central High School in Louisville. Add another friend to the list. "I got to chill with Brandon Graham at the hoops game," White said. "We got along real good. I also was able to see the facilities, and we watched some football highlights. It was a lot of fun."

Graham committed to Michigan shortly before Junior Day; is White going to join his new friend? "No, I didn't commit," he said. "I'm going to go back up for the Nike Camp at Michigan, and for their technique camp in June. I might commit then but I really want to look around and if it works out, I'll announce at the (U.S.) Army game."

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound White reports offers from Michigan and LSU, and said he is getting a lot of mail from other programs. He said along with the Michigan camp he may attend camps at Indiana and Miami.

White is not going to stay still during the spring. "I run the 100, 200, 4X100, 4X200 and the 4X400 meters," he said. "I'm the anchor on the 4X2 team, and I run third-man on the others."
