Wide receiver Zach Luckett of Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, N.J., said there are two things that are paramount in his search for the right school. "Education is my number one priority, I want to major in communications," he said. "I also want to go to a school with a top sports program."

Luckett, who reports a 2.6 grade-point-average and said he scored a 1240 on his SAT, been a life-long fan of one school that fits requirements nicely. "I grew up a Michigan fan," he said. "They are a top academic school and they have a big-time football program with a lot of tradition. I haven't received an offer from them yet but they are sending me a lot of mail. If they did offer I'd probably commit."

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounds Luckett said he just received his second offer on Thursday. "Utah just sent me an offer (Thursday)," he said. "I got an offer from Boston College about a week ago. I'd say Michigan, Virginia Tech, B.C. and Pittsburgh are my top schools. I'm not really interested in Utah even though they offered."

Luckett said he made the trek to Ann Arbor last summer and came away even more impressed with his childhood favorite. "I really liked it up there, the campus and the stadium, and the way they really focus on academics," he said. "I'll probably go to camp at Michigan this summer." He said he would also like to attend camp at B.C. "I'm not really sure when I'll make a decision," he said. "I'll probably take all of my visits first. I'd like to stay close to home; I want to pick a school within a days drive from home."

For his junior season Luckett reports 22 receptions for 384-yards. He said he also plays safety for the Spartans, but prefers the offensive side of the ball. He reports a 4.6 in the 40 and runs the 100, 200 and 400-meter distances for the track team.

Ed. note: will Luckett impress enough at the U-M Camp this June to earn a Wolverine offer? We'll see, but as a U-M fan with a couple offers he is one to keep an eye on. He is Jim S' #49 wideout.
