Graham Taking in Spring Practice Experience

GoBlueWolverine caught up with Detroit Crockett's Brandon Graham recently about his frequent spring practice visits thus far. Michigan's first commitment for the 2006 class has been very impressed with what he has seen.

Michigan linebacker commitment Brandon Graham has made it a point to make it up to Ann Arbor for Spring practice as often as he could for the past couple of weeks. The opportunity to learn the terminology and get more familiar with the terminology and techniques that are utilized has proven to be too much to pass up. Though he was already comfortable with his future coaches and teammates, the time he has spent on campus has made it even more so.

"I've talked to all of the coaches now," Graham said. "They keep telling me how they can't wait until I get up there because they see that I'll fit right in. I see that I'm going to fit right in. I get a chance to go to the meetings, see them in drills, and talk to the players. It's nice. Man! I fit right in up there."

Graham has been to both spring scrimmages and came away impressed each time with a player that he knows very well. "Johnny [Thompson] kind of stuck out," Graham said. "It's like one year can really make a difference. He got redshirted last year and it looks like that can really do it for you because he looked good out there in the scrimmages I've been to."

On offense he was taken by the performance young player in which redshirting is not even a possibility. "Kevin Grady kind of caught my eye a little bit," Graham said. "He was running more like a fullback out there…just running over everybody!"

Graham indicated that he will make it to as many more practices as possible, including the final session on April 16th.
