Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, Pa., is loaded with talent this year. At least three players will be heading to Division 1-A colleges next year to play football. One of them, the leader of the Crusader offense and the No. 13 ranked quarterback in the country according to Jim S., is Jeremy Ricker. It's only April and the talented Ricker is already reporting 25 offers, the most recent from Louisville. "I just got the letter from them yesterday," he said. "I also received letters recently from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Duke, Wisconsin and Pitt."

The 6-foot-3, 208-pounds (measured Tuesday at his doctor) Ricker said he has yet to receive an offer from Michigan. "Before the dead period I have talked to Coach Loeffler a couple times," Ricker said. "I really like him a lot, and he told me they want to see how I do at the combines before they offer."

Ricker said he will attend the Nike camp at Penn State, as well as an event May 4 at the Meadowlands in New Jersey. He said he will also attend an Elite 11 Combine in Las Vegas. As for school camps. "I haven't really decided what I'm going to do about camps this summer," he said. "I definitely want to hit as many as I can, I just have to site down and figure it out. We'll be playing in 7-on-7 tournaments so I'll need to work around those."

He said the other big in-state school, Penn State, has yet to offer and he claims no leader. "I'm keeping all of my options open at the moment, getting to know the coaches," he said. "My relationship with the coaches at the colleges is the most important thing to me. I know there will be talented players ahead of me so I want to go to a school and redshirt and learn the system."

As for when he plans on making his decision? "I want to take all of my official visits," he said. "I may take one or two during the season and the rest after, or I may just wait and take them all after, I have to see how it works out."

As for where he will be this Saturday: "I'm taking a trip to Notre Dame."
