New Jersey defensive back Myron Rolle (6-2, 210, 4.5) has had a busy April. In the past few weeks, the big-timer's been to Oklahoma, Michigan and Miami.

"I really got to see and understand some things about all of those programs that I hadn't known before I visited," said Rolle, from The Hun School in Princeton. "Right now I consider Oklahoma, Michigan, Miami, Florida and Florida State as my top five. I don't have a leader out of them yet.

"I really like the defense at Oklahoma. Before my visit there, I didn't think they did that much with their defense in terms of mixing it up a lot. I thought that they were strictly a cover-2 kind of a team. I got to watch some film with coaches (Bob) Stoops and (Bobby Jack) Wright (defensive backs), and I realized that they actually mix it up a lot," he said.

"They also use a lot of man, cover-3 and cornerback blitzing. They sure do a lot of things to change it up.

"Michigan's program plays a lot faster than I thought they did. I thought that they were a more run-oriented team on offense, but that was before I took in their spring game. The guys on that team have some great speed, and those receivers can run.

"I saw this one play where Steve Breaston (wide receiver) had some great separation on one of their cornerbacks when he ran this post-out route. It really amazed me.

"The one thing that I noticed that was unique to the program at Miami was how they have a lot of NFL players that come back and work out with the team. It's great because they also teach the players there some things while they work out. If I went there and was also taught, by some of the many great players to come out of that program, then I think that it would be better for me.

"My next move is to take some unofficial visits to the Florida and Florida State. I want to see how their academics are and the qualities of their programs.

"I'm looking to get out to those schools in May, but a lot of those coaches might not be around because they've got to get out there and recruit," said Rolle. "So I might have to postpone those visits until the summer, but I'll have to see.

"I doubt I'll have time to take official visits during the season because we've got our games on Saturdays. I've already taken some thorough unofficial visits, so I'm keeping my decision to make a commitment on a program before the start of the season as an option. But I might also take my time in making that kind of decision if I need to."

Rolle claims 44 total offers, including scholarships from Georgia, Virginia, Penn State, USC, Notre Dame and Ohio State.

Rolle has not and will not attend any JR Days.
