McClain high school's (Greenfield Ohio) Dante Jackson has already emerged as one of the top targets for the 2007 class. The versatile wing prospect visited Michigan for a game early this season and has interest in the Wolverines. GoBlueWolverine caught up with him at the Spiece Run 'n Slam tourney last weekend and he shed a little more light on his recruitment.

How is your summer going so far?

"Pretty good. This is the second tournament I've played with the team and it is going pretty well so far. Between this and track, I've been pretty busy."

What schools have been by to see you during the contact period?

"Ohio State, Xavier, Dayton, and North Carolina State have come down. Michigan has come down a few times."

Which ones are you most interested in at this point?

"All of them right now. I'm not going to say that there is one school that stands out because I'm only a sophomore."

After playing in a few tournaments now, have you noticed any particular part or parts of your game that you need to improve?

"Yeah, my quickness and strength. I got beat up a little bit so I've got to get in the weight room and bilk up some."

For those that haven't seen you play, how would you describe your game?

"It depends on what position I'm playing. If I'm playing the point, I'm more of a passer…pass first, shoot second, and look to get everyone involved. When I'm on the wing I try to create a little more and go to the hoop a little more."

Do you have a preference?

"I'd prefer to be on the wing."

Are the schools on your list specifying which position they're looking at you for?

"They haven't been very specific, but I'm open to playing the one the two or the three. I'm capable of playing all three positions and I'll play wherever they put me."

Will you be attending any camps this summer?

"I'll be going back to the Hoop Jamboree in St. Louis."

Will you be taking any unofficial visits this summer?

"I plan to. I'll visit Ohio State a couple of times. I'll definitely make a trip back up to Michigan, and hopefully make it back down to Kentucky and NC State."

When you get ready to sit down and make your choice, what will be the most important factors?

"I'll be looking at playing time, location, and whether they are capable of winning a national championship. That's a goal of mine. When I do go college, I want to get an education and hopefully win a national championship during the four years that I'll be there. "

GoBlueWolverine will have more on Jackson throughout the summer.
